VILLAGE VIRTUAL  BULLETIN BOARD

June 27, 2025

Its officially summer and I say to myself that living in the Village of Innsbrook continues to feel like it is the best place to enjoy nature, find good friends, and make the world a little better through all the opportunities there are engaged and part of our community.   Hopefully, most agree that the Village of Innsbrook is truly a slice of paradise.

Over the last several months, the Trustees and the P&Z Commissioners have been busy.

At the June 17 Board meeting, the Village Comprehensive Plan was approved.  The Comp Plan is a long-term vision or road map for how the Village sees the future growth within our community.  This document sets goals, objectives, and standards used to establish policies, and actions to ensure that our procedures are consistent with the Village’s long-term goals.   The Village is required to have a Comp Plan, and we will regularly review and update the plan as out village grows.   The Comp Plan is not a stagnant document; it is a living document.  Todd Streiler, the Village Planner, Allen Huddleson, and the Planning & Zoning Commissioners worked almost two years to create this document that the Village will use as a guide for the next ten years.  A big Thank You to Todd Streiler, and all Commissioners as well as the Trustees who provided insights about the Village, and donated extra time required to complete this document.

At that same June meeting, the Board of Trustees approved the most recent modification made to the original Wags & Whiskers shelter plan.  The community can look for more good things to come from Wags & Whiskers as they work diligently to achieve its goal to end homelessness for our closest companions with creating a shelter with the purpose of providing humane treatment of stray cats and dogs.  This organization is extremely passionate about its mission and it is exciting to see the next steps to finishing their shelter, hopefully, sometime in the Fall 2025.

The new Village Hall is nearing completion and there is significant efforts to get closure continues to focus on getting the Fire Marshal’s approval to conduct meetings.   The builder has been given a punch checklist to complete and the Trustees are working on getting the final touches completed.   It is anticipated that our  Board of Trustees August Meeting will be held in the new building and depending upon the approval process and whether in a late July public hearing is possible.  More information on dates and time will be forthcoming.

This week, the Board of Trustees are reviewing the submissions from local legal firms to determine the Village’s legal counsel.  A final decision as to which firm represent the Village will be made.

The Village of Innsbrook continues to be a thriving and caring community one filled with volunteers who work diligently to make a difference so that all of the residents can share in a better place to live, play, and enjoy the natural surroundings.   A smile and a thank you are always welcome to all those who serve our community.
